Our time in Madagascar

We are just wrapping up a 2 week expedition in Madagascar where we had the opportunity stop in small villages and towns around the island.  Madagascar is one of the poorest countries in the world; you may have heard that there’s has been political unrest in Madagascar with people protesting in the streets for clean water and reliable electricity.  While the country is poor in economic terms, it is quite rich in its natural beauty and diverse and amazing flora and fauna that is not found anywhere else.  We are excited to share with you the sights, the wonderful culture, the people, and the beauty of this country.  Despite the challenges, they were welcoming and so excited to share in their community with us.

Our inaugural journey the World has been extraordinary, particularly as we celebrated the Jewish holidays during our travels. We encountered a  Jewish community that embraced us, providing a sense of belonging even in the absence of our family and friends. While we were asked to refrain from disclosing our location during our stay, we are now excited to share the experiences and sights we encountered.
