What an interesting city.  Here we met up with Jenny’s dear friend Alisa and got to know what was amazing about this city, and to catch up on her living here.  It is the capital of Queensland with a river that is traversed by several purpose built footbridges and lined with towering buildings.

We had an amazing adventure going to the Koala Encounter and the Lone Pine Sanctuary where we met kangaroos and koalas up-close and personal.  This is one of the most celebrated places for the conservation of these beautiful koalas.  We took a private tour to learn about their existence and got up close to pet one.  It was such a memorable experience.  At this park, we also saw devils, birds, cassowaries, and so much more.

On a walk, we discovered a beautiful park that was dedicated to edible flowers and a culinary herbs garden that was open to the public.  It is such a fun way to exhibit and share these plants with the community!
