A microcosm of Australian in its southern island.   We crammed a lot into a week, starting in Hobart.

As the capital and most populated (though still small) city on the island, Hobart offers a unique charm, highlighted by the extraordinary Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) . Accessible primarily by ferry, this museum defies description; its eclectic collection ranges from the beautiful to the bizarre, inviting visitors to engage with the art on all sensory levels. We dedicated an entire day to exploring its exhibits, with even the walkway to lunch and the meal itself becoming a memorable experience.

Beyond Hobart, Tasmania boasts a wealth of attractions, including the world’s largest chairlift spanning a gorge, the UNESCO-designated city of Gastronomy, picturesque wine country, and the breathtaking Cradle Mountain, all of which contribute to the region’s rich sights and experiences.
