Spent a few days cruising along the South African coast on our way from Cape Town to Durban and right in the midst of a whale migration. It was a beautiful site to see them breaching, complete with the “slapping” sound when they hit the surface of the water – the pictures don’t do it justice, even the attached video one of our shipmates took.
From there it was a few days in Durban, a large multi-cultural city with the largest Indian population outside of India. Today, we’re back on a choppy sea off to start our first Expedition.
