After a stop in Kiribati, we are finally heading home. Kiribati is a remote Pacific Island that straddles the International Date Line. It is a nation known for WWII history, crystal clear waters for snorkeling and diving , and authentic cultural experiences with a small but warm and friendly local population.
Our trip has been amazing; 8 months, 5 continents, 10 countries, crossing both the Equator and Date Line and tens of thousands of miles. But the best part is the people we met along the way; our fellow residents on this wild journey, the crew who keep us safe, the expedition guides and mostly the people we have met in these far-off places, many of them rarely meeting people from the west.
Today we are back on terra firma; time to see and reconnect with our family and friends, catch up on missed birthdays, holidays and yes, work too. Afterall, we also have a wedding this summer too.
But we will be off again in a few months – to see and experience more new and different locales. Stay tuned and we hope you’ll continue to follow us.
